In-Home Care Service: For young children in the parent's own home who are unable
to access main stream services, such as parents or children with disabilities, prolonged
illness, breast feeding mothers, shift workers, numerous children. Parents home must
comply with Kidz Safe standards.
Council Service: Provides child care for children aged from birth to 12 years in
the homes of selected registered caregivers. Care available 7 days, limited evenings,
overnight and weekends. Full, part time and occasional care, before and after school,
emergency and vacation care.

This agency provides therapy services in a number of community locations for families

Macarthur Child and Family Nursing Team
The Child and Family Nursing Team seeks to provide a flexible and family based service
to families and children 0-16 years living in Macarthur. Child and family nurses provide
health education and promotion in the form of baby clinics, parenting groups, individual
client care and primary school involvement. Nurses attempt to contact every new mother
within one week of discharge from hospital and offer a home visit for the first visit
after the baby's birth. Primary school involvement includes hearing and vision screening,
sun safe awareness and the Alley Cats program.

Children of Prisoners Support Group
Independent community based organisation, jointly funded by the Dept of Corrective
Services and the Dept of Community Services with the aim of providing support and
practical assistance to children of prisoners, imprisoned parents and outside carers. The
objective is to minimise the trauma that children suffer when a parent is imprisoned and
to help maintain quality relationships within the family both during incarceration and
post release.

Family link foster care program: supports families in crisis by providing temporary

Centacare Children's Contact Service
A supervised contact and changeover service for children and parents in outer south
west Sydney and the Illawarra area
The CCCS provides a venue for the safe transfer of children between separated parents, and
meaningful interaction between children and non-residential parents during contact visits.
The Service id for families who are experiencing conflict or diffculties around contact
and changeover arrangements for their children.
The Service conducts an extensive screening and assessment process. Acceptance into the
program is also dependent on the level of service availability, the capacity of the
non-residential parent to parent their child/ren, the Service's ability to ensure the
safety and security of children, parents and staff, and both parties siging a service
agreement.
Supervised contact sessions will be two hours duration. Participation in the program is
dependent on parents successfully completing an intake assessment. It is voluntary and
requires a commitment from both parents to achieve self management of contact.
Referral: through an agency or self referral.

Australian Breastfeeding Association
Formerly Nursing Mothers Association of Australia
A voluntary organisation which encourages, supports and educates mothers who wish to
breast feed their babies, while creating in the community an awareness of human milk. We
do this through mother-to-mother support, co-operation with health professionals, public
relations and community education and liaison and exchange with interested individuals and
organisations. Our breastfeeding counsellors are mothers who have breastfed their own
babies and have undergone extensive training. Counsellors are available 7 days a week to
discuss breastfeeding matters.

Macarthur Community Counselling Team (MCCT)
This is a counselling team working with
families, children ( 0 - 11 years) who have behavioual and emotional
problems and adults (21 years and older) about seperation, divorce,
grief, depression, anxiety and stress management.
MCCT has produced a booklet on separation and divorce for children.
MCCT has also previously provided training to students and other
workers in topics like suicide prevention, child behaviour management,
etc.
