adults/parents improve primary aged childrens literacy skills.
Program to Aid Literacy (PALS): trains volunteers and matches with a primary school
aged child helping to develop reading writing skills for one hour per week during school
term.
First Aid Courses: First aid volunteers provide first aid and emergency care at
community, cultural and sporting events.
LinkAGE: training program for volunteers to provide companionship and friendship to
nursing home residents.

Domestic Violence Team: provides a direct service for women and their children
surviving domestic violence. Training and consultancy for service providers, counselling,
information and referral, advocacy, community education, research, resource library,
community education to improve knowledge and understanding of domestic violence.
Aboriginal Project Worker: to improve access for Aboriginal communities to
services, information and resources.
Mid to Older Women's Health: promotes the physical emotional and social well being
of women in their middle and later years. Counselling, information and self development
support groups, natural therapies, women's health information and referral service,
resource library, advocacy.
Young Women Who are Parents Program: aims to assist young mothers to access support
and information required for their own individual and social development. Training also
provided to enhance young mothers' skills in promoting their issues and in supporting
other young women.
Advocacy Resources and Training Unit: provides training and resources, consultancy,
supervision to government and non government agencies particularly regarding violence,
abuse, trauma, management and service planning issues.
Aboriginal Community Worker: for Koori women in the middle to older years. Provides
a naturopath, massage, reflexology support groups, relaxation groups, women's health
issues groups and advocacy.
Community Educator Training: Training on issues such as public speaking, media,
community work, group work, writing, drama, opportunities and choices.
Research and Education Unit: Community consultations, ongoing evaluations and
planning. Consultancy and training for services and organisations.
Community Engagement Program: coordinates activities including volunteers, creative
workshops, training, Egeria women's magazine and performances of DRUMARAMA, the centre's
drumming group. Open to all women.
Domestic Violence Against Women with Disabilities Project: amis to increase access
to domestic violence services for women with disabilities through training, resource
development and raising community awarenesss.

The Cottage Family Care Centre
A community based program serving the Campbelltown LGA and providing a specialised
service for families with children aged from birth to 5 years who are caught in the
generational cycle of physical, sexual and emotional abuse and/or neglect. The service
provides child care, preschool, individual programs for children, parent support in the
home and at the centre. Children attend through referral from DoCS.

Unifam Counselling and Mediation Service
Services
Family Mediation: targets separating couples with issues around child residency,
contact and property settlement. Assists parents to communicate abotu children's needs and
issues.
Options Program: for families with adolescents who are concerned about
disagreements, conflict, violence, safety, leaving home, school problems, depression,
separation and living as a step family.
Relationship Counselling Program: for individuals or couples who are struggling
with their relationship, and who are wanting to work towards improving that situation, or
managing concerns about separation, loss, depression or other issues. Counselling has a
relationship focus.
Men and Family Relationships Program: offrs individual and couple family therapy,
group work, and consultancy to men, their families and partners. Counselling for work
related issues, separation, depression, anger, parenting. Also offered to adolescent boys
on issues such as family, school and anger.
Bringing up Boys: seven week program for mums raising boys. Offers new
opportunities to mums, builds skills, confidence as a parent in communication and
discipline.
